I am terribly upset about this app

This has been a great app - it hs everything I could possibly need. it has always used iCloud as backup but now they are changing to Dropbox.. well, Dropbox will not accept my password although it is totally accurate. So if i update I will lose 50 years of info I have entered. I also los it on a previous update.
